Our customer established in1928 the first plant in the north side of the US. By 1936, the plant was converted to a beef slaughter facility and undergo a massive revamp and thus in 1940 the company began focusing on turkey and chicken products. From the second half of the ‘50s the company started to diversify its line of products processed and packaged for semi ready meals in order to support the demands of increasingly busy life in urban centers. In the early 80s the company began to look more closely at growth opportunities from mergers and acquisitions, reaching today with 12,000 employees in the USA distributed in 8 States. Outside the USA the company has operations in three European countries (eight factories and 4,000 employees).
Aiming to expand its operations to South America, to grow and acquire factories in Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

We are seeking a senior executive to act as a Director of Latin America Development & Strategy with a strong focus on Finance and Controller background and drive. As the leader of the Development & Strategy team, you work collaboratively across functions (responsible for driving all aspects of financial operations) to identify and evaluate both acquisition and investment opportunities. You provide the management team with the needed insight to drive intelligent, sound decision-making. You understand the industry landscape and harness it to manage our deals and integration. With an air of humility, you bring strong quantitative skills, strategic thinking and sound business judgment, along with the ability to think about what is – and what could be. You will be involved in decision making, strategic development and ultimately help define, shape and analyze the direction of our rapidly growing company. Primary responsibility for directing the establishment and maintenance of the organization’s financial principles, practices, and procedures in the field. Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses and developing final recommendations. Monitor, track, interpret, and share external and competitive trends. Stay abreast of industry, competitive, and innovation trends that can impact our customer.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Graduation in Business Administration, or Engineering. Post-Graduation or MBA in a well known Brazilian University is very desirable (FGV preferable).
  • Experienced at structuring ambiguous problems, leading analytical work streams, applying sound business judgment and communicating complex issues effectively
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks with a proven ability to meet hard deadlines
  • Problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize diverse tasks with a proven ability to meet hard deadlines
  • Brazilian Native, English mandatory, Spanish a plus
  • MBA from well known Universities – FGV (preferably) 60% 60%
